In the sphere of celebrating UN International Day of Sport for Development and Peace on April 6, Develop Armenia NGO supportive of this initiative, is raising the voice for real sport revolution in our country. We believe in the value, and potential of sports organisations their role, and contribution to social change and human development in Armenia. Sport is a powerful tool to promote youth empowerment, peace, tolerance & understanding across boundaries and cultures.

On this important day, celebrations are made to stress the importance of sport and its contribution to developing communities around the world as well as in Armenia.

Regardless of ages, gender or ethnicity, sport’s power to bring us together is unrivaled.
Let’s harness this power!

Armenia has great potential and leverage to use sports for development and peace. Sports is the most effective medium/tool to bring people from different cultures closer.

As Develop Armenia we are trying to support and advocate the sport as one of the efficient tools for sustainable development in Armenia. We are making all our effort and capacity to help officials for a real change in the sport and youth sector. We emphasize the promise of the minister of sport and youth affairs to initiate wide-ranging and comprehensive reforms in this sector to increase population’s general interest in mass physical training and to promote the development of professional sports.

Sport is not only fun, it can be used as a catalyst for social inclusion, conflict resolution & peace in regions affected by poverty & conflict.
